One of the major ways that we saved money on our wedding is buying a dress that wasn’t a designated “wedding dress” and doing my own makeup for our wedding. I had a few people message me on the day of my wedding asking who did my makeup, so I decided to share everything I used for my bridal makeup, as well as my wedding dress and shoes details.

My hair was done by my friend Alison. She curled my hair then brushed them out before we were about to leave. She’s been a hairdresser for years and knows all the tricks. Her instagrams are below.

When we were calling around for flowers we really wanted to stay in a certain budget. We didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on flowers that I would probably lose after a few hours. We decided to go with Academy Florist (website linked below) here in Winnipeg. They worked really well with staying within our budget and they bouquets were beautiful. I wanted one or two peonies in each bouquet with a-lot of greenery and white. They came out perfect!
