St Tropez Tanning Mousse Review
Good Morning Friends! As most of you already know, I am as pale as a ghost. I used to tan in tanning beds all the time which is horrible for you and causes you to look a-lot older way faster. Since I don’t want skin cancer or wrinkles I decided that this summer I would find a self tanner that makes me look tan without having to damage my skin any more than I already have. I looked up reviews for tons of self tanners and I kept going back to St Tropez. At sephora they had a tester kit that has everything you need for $32, so I decided to give it a try. The little kit comes with a exfoliant that you are supposed to apply 24 hours before applying the self tanner. I personally did it in the shower right before I applied the self tanner and I turned out okay, but if you are a rule follower then you do you! The next step was the moisturizer (I’m sure we ALL know how to apply moisturizer so I wont go into that). The final step is to apply the St Tropez Tanning Mousse. The mousse is a dark brown almost has a green tint to it, so it is really easy to see where you have applied it so you don’t over apply in some areas. The kit came with a mitt to apply the mousse, which if you get the regular bottle I HIGHLY recommend that you get the glove too. It makes it so much easier to apply and makes it super easy to blend. The tanner gives you such a nice natural colour, not orangey at all. It is the first self tanner that I’ve felt good about the colour it gives me. It lasts for about 3-4 days. I usually apply it every Sunday and Wednesday. I’ve used the tester kit for three weeks now, twice a week and I still have some left! So if you are looking for something to use only a few times definitely go with the tester, but if you are wanting something for a consistent tan, I recommend getting the larger bottle. The St Tropez exfoliant and moisturizer that came with the kit are for sure not needed to repurchase after you run out, you can just use whatever exfoliant and moisturizer you are already using. I personally use a DIY coffee scrub (I just mix honey, coffee grinds and sugar together, works like a dream) and CereVe cream to moisturize. The pictures are the true colour of the tan I got using the St Tropez Tanning Mousse, all products are linked below! What is your go to self tanner? Let me know in the comments.
