Getting Ready For Baby Girl
We have only 2 weeks to go until baby girls due date!! We are so excited to have another addition to our family. We are currently in the process of getting everything ready to go for her room. She will have Owen's old crib as he is now in his "big boy bed" now. Planning her room has been so much fun. There are so many options with girls stuff and I can't wait to see how it all comes together. It took me forever to decide on everything with her room. Plus, my pinterest obsession can make it really hard to settle on one thing. It honestly took me a month to decide on what pictures we were going to put up above her dresser. I really want everything to be perfect for her little room.
While we are still waiting for baby girl’s arrival, we are trying to mentally prepare for the sleepless nights ahead, and getting Owen ready. Which has been way harder than I thought since he currently thinks his "little sister" is a unicorn stuffed animal, that he insists we buy sleepers for. Should be interesting to say the least. This pregnancy has for sure not been as easy as it was with Owen. I had morning sickness for the first three months, and had vertigo for the past four months of my pregnancy which made it very hard to get a whole lot done. So, everything has been a bit last minute with getting all of her stuff prepared. Luckily I have had tons of time to research and have a set plan of what we need and where we will put everything. We got most of our list’s completed last week, so now her and my hospital bag is ready to go. All of her clothes are washed and put into the dresser we finally built, and we have our house fully cleaned and ready to go for her arrival. Minus Owen’s toys that are usually scattered across the floor, and I don’t see that changing any time soon!
As much as I am so ready for baby girl to get her, I am enjoying all the time I have with Owen right now. I am really going to miss all the quality time we have together. He is so much fun at this age and I can’t wait to see how he will be when he finally get’s to meet his little sister. I have been hearing a lot of horror stories about how much harder it is with two kids. So we are a bit nervous to say the least and hope the adjustment isn’t as horrible as people say. If anyone has any tips for adjusting for life with two kids please comment them below!
